AIG FZ Forza Irish Open 2021

The Irish Open is part of the World and European circuit where players can earn essential world ranking and European circuit ranking points. The Irish Open has a rich history in world badminton, with Ireland being one of the founding members of the World Badminton Federation. The event has been running uninterrupted since 1902, making it one of the oldest and prestigious badminton events in the world.

The AIG FZ Forza Irish Open is the biggest event in the Badminton Ireland Calendar. The competition sees players from across the world coming to Ireland in order to compete for crucial world ranking points. Following the success of the 2019 Irish Open which was televised on national television for the second year in a row and drew in over 350 spectators for the finals day, the 2021 Irish Open will be returning to the National Indoor Arena in Dublin on the 17th-20th November. This year the AIG FZ Forza Irish Open will be running on the same week as the National Badminton Week. This gives school children from across Ireland to participate in fun games whilst watching some of the world's best athletes compete at the Irish Open.

This event will go ahead. All players must attend their scheduled testing time that will be conducted at the tournament hotel. Players not staying at the tournament hotel will be responsible for their own transport. More details to follow on COVID-19 Procedures
