Women in Irish Sport Conference 2018

The Badminton Ireland Development Team recently attended the Women in Sport Conference run by Sport for Business in the RTE Studios, Donnybrook. There were some very interesting discussions and panels present on the day. Some of the panels that held discussions were Sarah Colgan, Mary O'Connor and Elaine Buckley, they talked about the 20x20 movement that has aimed to see a 20% increase in media coverage of women's sport, participation and attendances at games by 2020. Polly Bancroft from UEFA also spoke with presenter Rob Harnett about the "Together #WePlayStrong" campaign that the UEFA are currently running to encourage more teenagers to stay in sport.
