FZ Forza Irish Open 2016

The Irish Open is part of the World and European circuit, players can earn essential world ranking and European circuit ranking points. The Irish Open has a rich history in world badminton, with Ireland being one of the founding members of the World Badminton Federation. The event has been running uninterrupted since 1902, making it one of the oldest and prestigious badminton events in the world.

The 2016 event takes place in brand new National Indoor Arena, Dublin 15 on 7th - 10th of December 2016.

  • 7th December Wednesday 09:00am Qualification

  • 8th December Thursday 09:00am Preliminary rounds (1st and 2nd Round)

  • 9th December Friday 10:00 Quarter finals and Semi-finals

  • 10th December Saturday 10:00 - Finals - scheduled to finish by 16.00
    (The schedule will be confirmed by the referee and can be changed
    depending on TV requirements) Players playing in finals should not depart on Saturday

Irish players can send entry to Badminton Ireland Overseas players can enter via the BWF website.
