Annual Awards Dinner

 

The 2015 Badminton Ireland Awards Night will take place on Saturday, 5th December at 7PM in the Dublin Airport Hilton Hotel. The Badminton Ireland Awards Night is an opportunity to recognize contributions made by clubs and individuals throughout the country. A three course dinner, live entertainment and special presentations make for a fantastic evening. A limited amount of tickets are available at €25 so reserve your place now. The Awards Night takes place on the Saturday of the Irish Open so why not take in some of the World’s best badminton before the evening. How to Nominate and Win Badminton Ireland Awards 

To make a nomination please email info@badmintonireland.com with the subject Badminton Ireland Award Nomination. 

Catagories: 

  • Club of the Year (votes, percentage increase in affiliations, online affiliation, affiliation on time)
  • How to Win: To achieve club of the year you must have an increase in affiliations, affiliations must be completed online at Badmintonireland.com and affiliations must be paid on time.
  • New Club of the Year (clubs set up in last 5 years, votes, Pprcentage increase in affiliations, online affiliation, affiliation on time)
  • How to Win: To achieve new club of the year your club must have been set up in the last five years, the winning club will need to have an increase in affiliations, affiliations must be completed online at Badmintonireland.com and affiliations must be paid on time.
  • Player of the Year (votes, results at major events)
  • How to Win: The player of the year award will go to the Player that has had the best results at major events in the new calendar year.
  • League of the Year (votes, size of the league, percentage increase in teams, full affiliation of all clubs)
  • How to Win: To win league of the year it comes down to the size of the league (Number of teams) also the increase of teams is important. Each club must be fully affiliated to be in contention to win league of the year.
  • Coach of the Year (votes, coach education level improvement)
  • How to Win: To be coach of the year the main focus is the improvement level in coach education.
  • Volunteer of the Year (votes, impact on Badminton Ireland/Branch programmes)
  • How to Win: The impact that a volunteer makes on Ireland/Branch Programmes is how you achieve volunteer of the year.
  • Young Player of the Year (results at major events, improvement)
  • How to Win:The young player of the year award will go to the Player that has had the best results at major events in the new calendar year.
  • County of the Year (votes, affiliation percentage increase)
  • How to Win:To win county of the year it is all about the Increase in affiliations in the new calendar year.
  • School of the Year (Shuttle Time activation, affiliated, links to clubs)
  • How to Win:Shuttle time activation is key to winning the school of the year award, schools have to be linked to clubs.
  • Technical Official of the Year (nominated by the Court Officials Group)
