Another win for Nguyen as he aims to make history in Tallinn

European Championships Day four

Nhat faced number ten seed Danylo Bosniuk from Ukraine. The Irish number one controlled the match winning 21-11 21-13. Nhat will now face number five seed Cristian Savin of Moldova in the quarterfinals. Savin looked equally impressive in his last sixteen match as he comfortably defeated Nicolas Mueller of Switzerland.

Nhat was very disciplined in his match today. Danylo is an extremely physical player and has some difficult weapons in his play. I am happy with his performance and we will now focus on preparing for his match against Savin of Moldova” Irish Coach Daniel Magee

The winner of this match will be guaranteed a place on the podium and Nguyen will hope to make history by becoming the first ever Irish player to take a medal in a singles event of a European Junior Championships.
