Brady wins four rounds of qualifying to reach Latvia International main draw

Mark Brady has won four rounds in qualifiying at the Latvia International 2017 to progress into the main draw of the event. Yesterday in the morning sessions he overcame Slusnys of Lithuania and Kelpe of Latvia in two good performances. Later in the day he came up against the tougher opponent of Zach Russ (England). This was a close match which went right to the wire, Brady winning in the end 21-13 13-21 21-15.

This morning Mark secured his first round place in the main draw by beating Nicolas A. Muller of Switzerland 21-13 20-22 21-15. Brady put in a another good performance here to come through in three games. Brady now takes on Joel König of Switzerland in his first round tie at 12:50 Irish time. 

Other players featuring in the main draw today include: Sinead and Ciaran Chambers in the mixed doubles, Mark Brady and Ciaran Chambers in the men's doubles. Rachael Darragh and Sara Boyle also feature in the women's singles.
