The All Ireland Indivdual A,D & G grades was held at Lisburn Racquets Club on the 13th May 2017. Here are some highlights from each grade.
Vicki Pesti and Stuart Lightbody won two categories each. Vicki won her first trophy by beating Rebecca Getty in the Singles Final. Vicki then teamed up with Karen Nelson to win the Women’s Doubles 21-18 & 21-19 over Gillian Grimes and Ciara Nelson. Stuart Lightbody also enjoyed success in the Double’s division. Stuart and his partner Conor Hickland won in three games over Mark Cobbe & Adam Jermyn 21-15, 11-21, 21-13. Stuart won his second title of the day beating Declan Bennett and Vicki Pesti in the Mixed Doubles Final. Stuart and his partner Crona Rooney won 21-11, 19-21, 21-9.

Darren Lee stole the headlines in the D category. Darren won the Men’s Singles 21-18, 21-5 over Jimmy Paul. Darren went on to win his second title by winning the Men’s Doubles. Darren teamed up with David McLean to win an enthralling final against Jerry Noble & Suresh Shanmughan 14-21, 21-16, 21-13.

Mixed Doubles – Leon Coe / Lesley Cobbe
Two players took away the all but one of the G titles. Adrian Rabbitte and Eva De Las Heras both won two categories each. The two paired up to win the mixed doubles final over Owen Casey & Regina Scally 21-18, 21-9. Eva had one the tightest finals of the day in the Women’s Singles. She beat Ceiti Daly 20-22, 21-14, 22-20. Adrian won his second title with Fiachra Crowley. Both players’ partners had withdrawn earlier in the day and they would be joined together on the morning of the tournament. Adrian and Fiachra worked well together to come away with a three game win in the Mens' Doubles Final over Garry Ennett and Adrian Kenneally 16-21, 21-16, 21-18.
