Team event over and individual event kicks off at European Junior Championships
10 April 2017
Ireland has had some good performances so far at the European Junior Championships but missed out on going through to the quarter-finals from their group. They had a good battle with the hosts France in their opening match but lost out 4-2 overall.
They then came up against Ukraine where it went down to the last match after the teams were level at 2-2. Ireland fell short in the women's doubles and Ukraine took the tie 3-2. Ireland's final group match was against Belgium where there were some great team and individual performances. There were two of the matches that Ireland won in three games which led to them beating Belgium 3-2.
The individual event starts on tomorrow with some tough first round draws for some of the players.
