Day 3

Sam and Chloe Magee lose out to Olympic Gold medalist Zhang Nan and Li Yunhui 22-20 21-18. The Irish team will now focus their training towards the European Individual championships. Scott Evans, Sam Magee, Joshua Magee, Chloe Magee, Rachael Darragh and Sara Boyle will represent Ireland in the event held in Denmark from the 25th to the 30th of April.

Day 2

Sam and Chloe Magee came out victors of their first-round match this morning at the Swiss Open 2017. They beat Lu Ching Yao & Chiang Kai Hsin of Chinese Taipei 22-20 19-21 21-16 with an impressive performance. Sam and Joshua Magee lost out to Olympic Bronze medallists Ellis/Langridge of 21-10 21-14. Scott Evans put up a good fight against All England finalist Shi Yuqi but lost out 21-17 21-13.

 

 

 

Day 1

Great start for Scott Evans at the Swiss Open 2017 as he beat Mikal Rogalski of Poland 21-16 21-19. Joshua Magee lost out to the number 12 seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia. Scott comes up against world number 10 Shi Yuqi of China in his round of 32 match.

Pre-Event

The Swiss Open 2017 takes place from the 14th-19th of March. Scott Evans along with Sam, Chloe and Joshua Magee are taking part in this Grand Prix Gold event, one of the toughest events on the calendar. This event always attracts big crowds as spectators come to see some of the top players from across the world. Sam and Joshua have been drawn with a tough opening match of the men's doubles against Olympic Bronze medallists Ellis/Langridge of England.
