Job Description With the London 2012 Olympic Games just around the corner Badminton Ireland are delighted to announce a six to twelve month sport internship (unsalaried). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant sporting organisation with an Olympic focus. Our Internship scheme provides an excellent opportunity for graduates wising to pursue a career within Sporting domain to gain valuable work experience in a challenging and rewarding Olympic sporting environment, providing a great stepping stone! Badminton Ireland works with its stakeholders across the Country to increase participation, improve the quality of the sporting experience for participants and widen the pool of sporting talent. We provide our partners with advice, expertise, funding and advocacy support to achieve these shared aims. Potential interns will: To join the team you will need to be self-motivated and enthusiastic, you will be able to apply yourself to a range of different work areas and produce a high standard of written work. It would be preferable if you had experience in Communications, Web Design, Journalism or related business degrees preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment In return you will gain valuable practical experience in a range of different sports administration areas Application Process The exact dynamic of the sporting internship with Badminton Ireland is unpredictable and unfortunately no estimations can be made as to the number/type of placements, as positions are created in accordance with current business needs and can therefore occur in any department at any time throughout the year.
