On Thursday, 29th Sept, having beaten the No 8 seed in the 1st round, Chloe Magee (Ireland) took on Karina Joergensen (Denmark) in the Women’s Singles. The first set was a closely fought affair which Karina won 21-17. Chloe started well in the 2nd set but Karina ran out winner at 21-18.

Last weekend, 9th & 20th September, Jim Laugesen flew into Dublin Airport to attend the 1st day of the Autumn Open Championships which hosted a large entry and provided us all with some terrific games throughout the day.

Irish U17 No.1 Ruaraidh Sim from Lisburn won a bronze medal in boys singles at this weekend at the UK Schools Games held in Cardiff. Ruaraidh who was representing Northern Ireland in the event lost a tightly fought semi-final to eventual gold medal winner Aaron Chen of England.
