The Badminton Ireland Development Team are in place to assist existing clubs and to create new opportunities to play in both school and club setting.

Below is a list of some of the areas of work of the Badminton Ireland Development Team. Please scroll down for individual Development Officer contact details

    • Schools Partnership, Transition Year Module, NEW Badminton Basics Module & Leaving Certificate Applied module - secondary schools
    • Organisation of school blitz events linked to programmes outlined above
  • Communication
    • Answering general queries - Everything you can imagine from "where can I buy nets in Leitrim?" to "how does the scoring system work?" and "where is my local club in Tipperary?"
    • Regular e-mailings and development diaries on www.badminton.ie
    • Regular contact with members of Badminton Ireland, County/League Associations and clubs
    • Regular contact with Local Sports Partnerships and Council Sport Development Officers to find out about additional programmes, funding and support that our clubs can tap into

 As you can see, they all carry out a large amount of work in each area - while you might not see them all of the time, they are always working away and are always contactable by phone or e-mail.

Badminton Ireland Summer Camps 2010

mens_mascot_customOnce again, Badminton Ireland are running a number of Summer Camps around the country. A Summer Camp Subsidy is available to County Associations or Clubs who wish to run a Summer Camp in their area.

European Summer School Pressbaum, Austria July 17th – 24th 2010

Badminton Ireland wish Lucie Corcoran (Coach), Daniel Magee(Coach) , Caroline Black, Adam Jermyn, Liam O’Leary, Ruaraidh Sim and David Walsh (Players) a very successful stay at the European Summer School which takes place next week.
