Badminton Ireland is the sport's governing body of badminton in Ireland and is responsible for the promotion and development of badminton in Ireland. Based at the Baldoyle Badminton Centre in Dublin, it provides a structure for the sport at all levels from grass roots to high performance.

Badminton Ireland Areas of work include;

• Working to promote badminton in Ireland at all levels
• Developing grassroots initiatives to foster increased participation in the sport
• Certifies and educates coaches
• Prepares the best players in the nation to excel in international competition, including the Olympic Games.

Badminton Ireland is administered by a National Board which is made up of nominated voluntary representatives from the badminton community in Ireland.

Currently, there are over 13,000 affiliated members to Badminton Ireland. This figure does not include the numbers of young people playing badminton in both primary and secondary schools in Ireland.

Although Badminton Ireland receives funding from the Irish Sports Council, this funding does not (nor should anyone expect it to) cover all of our activities.
