Chloe Magee - Denmark OpenChloe Magee was beaten today, Thursday 22nd October, in the second round of the Denmark Open Super Series by number 1 seed and All England Champion Wang Yihan of China.

Magee gave a good account for herself but was always off the pace set by the current cream of the Chinese never ending crop. The Chinese star gave the Irish number one a master class in top class badminton but Magee should numerous glimpse along the way to prove that she is capable of holding her own at this level and is sure to have taken some positives from the match in which she lost 21-7 21-10.

“That was an experience to say the least. Wang Yihan was unbelievable without really ever getting out of 2nd gear. But I have enjoyed this week here in Odense and as a team we have all taken plenty of positives away from the experience. We did well in the mixed and men’s doubles which is something to build on moving forward.” Said Magee after her Denmark Open exit.
